HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.20859 OF 2002 ORDER:

The petitioner filed this writ petition challenging the award passed by the Labour Court in I.D.No.181 of 1987, dated 9.6.1992, where no relief was granted to him. The petitioner was removed from service.

When this matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation, and therefore, a direction may be given to the 2nd respondent to grant service benefits to the petitioner for the services rendered by him prior to his removal.

Considering the above submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to pay the service benefits to the petitioner for the services rendered by him prior to his removal, if not already paid to him, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
