THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO CRIMINAL APPEAL No. 880 of 2014 J U D G M E N T:
The appellant - accused Sri Mohd. Jeelani and the respondent - complainant Sri K. Mahender are both present in the Court today. It is submitted by them that they have amicably settled the dispute amongst themselves. The respondent - complainant would also submit that he has been paid the amount due by the appellant - accused. Hence, the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is compounded and the appellant - accused is declared as entitled to the benefit of the provision contained under sub-section (8) of Section 320 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The Criminal Appeal is therefore, disposed of. Consequently, the miscellaneous applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
