THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.2980 of 2008 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed challenging notification, dated 21.01.2008 proposing to conduct elections to the fifth respondent society on 18.02.2008.

In the counter-affidavit filed by the fourth respondent - Assistant Director of Fisheries, Nalgonda, it has been stated that another Writ Petition No.23286 of 2007 was also filed in relation to the same subject matter.

This Court passed the following order in Writ Petition No.23286 of 2007, which came to be disposed of on 14.10.2008. "The Writ Petition has undergone several stages. Through an order, dated 24.09.2008, this Court directed that the election process must be notified by 30.09.2008. Accordingly, a notification was issued on 29.09.2008, proposing to conduct elections on 12.10.2008. It is represented that the elections have since been conducted. Therefore, nothing remains to be decided in this Writ Petition."

As is evident from the above, elections were conducted. In view of the same, nothing remains in the present Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. _________________________ CHALLA KODANDA RAM, J
