HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 16278 of 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the representation of the petitioner dated 30.11.2001 for promotion to the post of Junior Assistant in the 3rd respondent college, as illegal and arbitrary.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner had retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. In view of the same, the relief sought by the petitioner cannot be granted, at this stage. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
