This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief : "To issue an order or direction or writ particularly one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 1st respondent in not releasing the difference of arrears of salary sanctioned under Career Advancement Scheme amount to Rs. 1,08,532/-, as arbitrary and illegal and consequently issue a direction to pay the said amount with interest at 18% P.A., from the date when it is due to the petitioner."

When this case is taken up for hearing, it is informed by learned counsel for the petitioner that this Court vide orders dated 23.7.2002 had granted interim orders directing the respondents to pay the difference of arrears of salary i.e., a sum of Rs., 1,08,532/-, within a period of three months. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that he is not aware whether the respondents have paid the amount in pursuance of the interim orders or not. As can be seen from the record, the respondents have not filed any Vacate Miscellaneous Application seeking vacation of the interim orders, dated 23.7.2002. It shows that the respondents are in agreement with the interim orders. They have not filed any counter till now.

This Court having considered the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner, is of the opinion that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to comply with the interim orders dated 23.7.2002, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already complied with. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
