The grievance of the petitioner in this case was with regard to the action of the Excise authorities in considering renewal of the licences granted to one Kondra Sudhakar Goud and one K. Ganesh Goud. The petitioner claimed that he had submitted representations dated 30.06.2012 and 10.07.2012 objecting to such renewal.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise informed this Court that the licences granted to the aforestated individuals expired in the year 2012 and that no renewal was given to them at that point of time. The issue raised in the writ petition is therefore rendered purely academic. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand dismissed.
