O R D E R

The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner and possessor of the land to an extent of Ac.0-22 gts. in Sy.No.149 of Chegunta Village and Mandal, Medak District, and when the said extent of land was acquired in the year 2007 for the purpose of widening National Highway 44, in lieu of payment of compensation, the 4th respondent - Tahsildar, Chegunta village, vide proceedings No.B/742/2006 dated 07.07.2007, allotted alternate government land in an extent of 0-22 gts. in Sy.No.307 situated at Wadiyaram village and subsequently, the name of the petitioner was entered in the revenue records and he was issued with pattdar pass book in respect of the said alternate land allotted to him.

The grievance of the petitioner is that in pursuance of the 'Samagra Bhoo Survey' scheme floated by the Government of Telangana, he was issued with new pattadar pass book vide No.T08020140099 dated 30.08.2019, and in the said pass book, the classification of the subject land is shown as assigned land. Aggrieved by the same and for rectification of the said classification of the land, he made application to the 4th respondent on 28.12.2019. As the said representation is not considered, the present writ petition is filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

From a perusal of the proceedings dated 07.07.2007 issued by the 4th respondent, it is clear that the land of the petitioner to an extent of Ac.0-22 gts. in Sy.No.149 of Chegunta Village and Mandal, Medak District, was acquired for widening N.H.No.44 and in lieu of compensation, he was allotted alternate land to an extent of 0-22 gts. in Sy.No.307 situated at Wadiyaram village. In view of the proceedings of the 4th respondent dated 07.07.2007, it is not known how the respondents could classify the subject land as assigned land.

In view of the same, the 4th respondent is directed to take necessary action in accordance with law on the application of the petitioner dated 28.12.2019, and rectify the entries with regard to classification of the subject land, and issue new pattadar pass book, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
