THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER WRIT PETITION No.27276 OF 2017 ORDER:
This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed by the petitioners, wherein the following prayer is made:
"... to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the Respondent No.4 in calling the Petitioners to the Police Station everyday and directing the Petitioners to sit in the police station from morning 10.00 a.m. to evening 6.00 p.m. as illegal, void and opposed to Articles 14, 19, 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently to direct the Respondent No.4, not to interfere with the personal life and liberty of the petitioners without following the procedure prescribed under the provisions of the criminal procedure code and pass any such order or orders which this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

The grievance of the petitioners is that they are being unnecessarily called to the police station everyday and made to sit there from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM, which is illegal, arbitrary and violative of valuable constitutional rights guaranteed under Articles 14, 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India. 4.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the petitioners are not being called to the police station.

The said submission of the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home is taken on record.

In view of the submission made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home that the petitioners are not being called to the police station, no further orders are required to be passed in this Writ Petition.

With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
