THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.464 OF 2010 ORDER :

This writ petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioners for the post of Khalasi as illegal and arbitrary and contrary to the principles of natural justice and consequently to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioners as Khalasi.

When the matter is called learned Standing counsel for Respondent No.1 placed on record the letters dated 10.05.2010 addressed to the individual petitioners informing them that they are not eligible to be considered for appointment as Khalasi for the reasons mentioned in the respective letters.

Since the prayer sought was for consideration and since the claim of the petitioners was considered and rejected on the ground that they are not suitable to hold the post, the cause in the writ petition does not survive.

Having regard to the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous, leaving it open to the petitioners to work out their remedies, if so advised, aggrieved by the order of rejection. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
