Heard Sri K.V. Raghuveer, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development.

2. The petitioner was appointed as a Field Assistant at Valamakur Gram Panchayat of Devanakonda Mandal, Kurnool District in the year

2007. While so, the 2nd respondent vide proceedings dated 17.07.2015 kept the petitioner under suspension pending enquiry on certain charges. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is no way concerned with the charges and the charges pertaining to the duties of the Mandal Development Officer and the Panchayat Secretary. Therefore, he seeks to revoke the suspension order passed by the 2nd respondent against the petitioner.

3. Since the order of suspension was passed pending enquiry, I am not inclined to examine the merits of the order of suspension. In the circumstances, the 2nd respondent is directed to complete the enquiry against the petitioner on the charges levelled against him and pass final orders, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, failing which, the order of suspension shall stand revoked.

4. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this writ petition, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
