This criminal petition is filed for quash of the proceedings in Cr.No.554 of 2011, against the petitioner, who is A2, on the file of the Station House Officer, Chilakalaguda Police Station, Secunderabad. The offences alleged are under Sections 406 and 420 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The learned Public Prosecutor produced a letter addressed by the Sub-Inspector of Police dated 24.07.2018 stating that the case has been compromised before the Lok Adalat on 12.12.2015. 3.

In the light of the above, this Court opines that continuation of further proceedings against the petitioner would only result in abuse of process of law.

The criminal petition is allowed and the proceedings in Cr.No.554 of 2011, against the petitioner, who is A2, on the file of the Station House Officer, Chilakalaguda Police Station, Secunderabad, are hereby quashed. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
