THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.4120 OF 2016 ORDER:
This petition is filed by the petitioner-A1 under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings against him in FIR No.699 of 2015 on the file of the Women Police Station, C.C.S., D.D, Hyderabad, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498A, 406 IPC and Sections 4 and 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Heard and perused the material available on record. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the allegations made against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought by the petitioner.
At this stage, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is employed in Qatar and his passport was seized in connection with the above crime and that the petitioner was released on bail and that even though the petitioner filed an application for release of his passport, the trial Court is adjourning the same without any valid reasons.
In view of the above submissions, the trial Court is directed to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner for release of his passport on or before 4.4.2016.
