Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioners, in the present writ petition seek the following relief: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, the petitioners herein prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction especially one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the proceedings issued by the 1st respondent vide Lr. No. 792/R1/2011, dated 22.2.2012 is illegal, arbitrary and set aside the same, consequently direct the 1st respondent to grant the permits to three wheeler auto rickshaws by filling up the vacant permits by duly considering the representation dated 4.12.2011 in true spirit and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

With the passage of time, in my opinion, this writ petition has rendered infructuous.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of as infructuous. Consequently, pending miscellaneous applications shall also stand closed. No costs.
