THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 9366 of 2015 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners is that they are people without shelter and ownership rights over any land. They submit that they made several representations to the authorities, particularly to the 3rd respondent, seeking grant of house site pattas in Survey No.254 of Sameerapalem village, Voletivaripalem mandal, Prakasam district. Such a representation was once again made on 17.10.2014, but no action is taken till date.

2. In the light of the limited prayer in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent authorities to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioners for grant of house site pattas in accordance with the schemes existing and subject to the eligibility of the petitioners for such grant. However, it is made clear that neither the petitioners nor anyone have any right to claim house site pattas to be granted in a particular survey number. Grant or nongrant of house site pattas is subject to the policies and schemes notified by the Government from time to time and the parameters notified thereunder. No order as to costs.
