ORDER

Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj appearing for respondents 1 to 3 & 5 to 10, and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent.

The petitioner is a Sarpanch of Madyanapuvarigudem, H/o Tirumaladevipeta Village, T.Narsapuram mandal, West Godavari District. It is her case that the District Collector issued administrative sanction for construction of Gram Panchayat building under MGNREGS Scheme in January, 2017. When the Engineering Department was not co-operating for construction of the said building, the present writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to assist in completion of the said building.

Since the petitioner is a Sarpanch of the said Gram Panchayat, a decision has to be taken by the Gram Panchayat and it is for the Gram Panchayat to construct the building. If there is no co-operation from the other departments, it is for the Gram Panchayat to avail the remedy by bringing it to the notice of the higher administrative authorities. This Court

cannot entertain this type of writ petition at the instance of Sarpanch of the village.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
