Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

According to petitioner, he obtained passport bearing No.P9309268, dated 10.03.2012, wherein his date of birth was shown as 17.02.1996. Alleging that wrong entry of date of birth is made in the passport, petitioner applied for correction. Alleging inaction in correcting the date of birth, petitioner filed this Writ Petition.

When the matter is taken up, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent produced a copy of the letter, dated 14.02.2019, addressed to the petitioner, whereunder petitioner was asked to furnish the Birth Certificate with correct particulars duly cancelling previous Birth Certificate, dated 19.02.1996, issued by the Registrar, Births and Deaths, Hyderabad, for processing the application for correction of date of birth.

Since letter, dated 14.02.2019, is already issued to the petitioner calling for information, it cannot be said that there is inaction on the part of the respondent - Passport Authority in processing the application of the petitioner. 5.

Leaving it open to the petitioner to respond to the information sought vide letter, dated 14.02.2019, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
