This petition is filed, by the petitioners, seeking for quash of the proceedings against them in Crime No.146 of 2012 on the file of Begumpet Police Station, Hyderabad District. The offences alleged are under Sections 498A, 494, 506 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2.

The Public Prosecutor files a Memo stating that the matter is settled between the parties before Lok Adalat vide Lok Adalat Case No.127 of 2013 on 24.09.2016.

Hence, considering the above, this court opines that continuation of further proceedings against the petitioners would be an abuse of process of law.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the proceedings against the petitioners in Crime No.146 of 2012 on the file of Begumpet Police Station, Hyderabad District, are hereby quashed.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
