HONOURABLE JUSTICE G. SRI DEVI CRIMINAL PETITION No.973 of 2020 ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed against the order dated 17.01.2020, passed in Crl.M.P.No.1 of 2020 in Crl.A.No.13 of 2020 by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Khammam, wherein the petition filed by the petitioner/accused for suspension of sentence was allowed suspending the sentence of imprisonment and directed him to deposit a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- out of the compensation of Rs.2,25,000/-, within one month. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/accused and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the 2nd respondent-State. 3.

By the order impugned, the Court below, while suspending the sentence of imprisonment, imposed the aforesaid condition. However, in view of the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of the application, the order of the Court below is modified directing the petitioner/accused to deposit 25% of the compensation instead of a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- before the trial Court, within two weeks from today.

With the aforesaid direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this petition , shall stand closed.
