This writ petition is filed for the following relief: " ......to issue a writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the application submitted by the petitioners dt.24-01-2020 for conversion of the vehicles from Maxi Cab to Omni Bus of the petitioners bearing Registration Nos TS12 UC 1688, TS12 UC 1689, AP15 TA 1008, AP15 TB7340, AP13 Y 1912, TS15 UA 1845, AP11 TA1726, TS05 UA3642, AP29 W3151, AP23 TA0626, AP11Y5231, AP11 W7581, AP 28 TA6328, TS06 UB5352, AP25 X3783, TS10 UA1434, TS09 UA0707 as illegal, arbitrary and malafide and violation of Art.14, 16 and 21 of the constitution of India, 1950, consequently direct the respondents to covert the vehicles of the petitioners from Maxi Cab to Omni Bus under Section 47 of M.V.
Act, and consequently direct the respondents to consider the application submitted by the petitioners dt.24-01-2020 under Section 47 of M.V.Act, 1988 for conversion of the vehicles from Maxi Cab to Omni Bus for private use and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deem fit and proper."
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in similar circumstances, this Court disposed of WP.No.19500 of 2019, dated 13-09-2019. The same is not disputed by learned Government Pleader for Transport.
In view of the same, for the reasons alike in the aforesaid order, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to consider the application dated 24-01-2020 submitted by the petitioners for conversion of category of their vehicles from Transport to Non-transport, by following due procedure prescribed under law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
