When this matter is taken up for hearing, none appeared for the petitioner. It is noticed that the petitioner filed the present writ petition seeking promotion and now he attained the age of superannuation and at this stage, there cannot be any direction to promote the petitioner.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
