This criminal petition is filed by the petitioners/A4 and A7 seeking to reduce the surety amount from Rs.25,000/- with two sureties for the like sum each to Rs.5,000/- with one surety for the like sum each, granted by the leaned XV Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy District at Kukatpally in Crl.M.P.No.1075 of 2021 in Crl.M.P.No.787 of 2021 in Cr.No.231 of 2021, dated 01.11.2021.

The case of the petitioners is that the learned Additional Junior Civil Judge-cum-IX Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad, Kukatpally, Ranga Reddy District, has granted bail to them by order dated 24.09.2021 in Crl.M.P.No.787 of 2021 in Cr.No.231 of 2021 on condition of executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.45,000/-each with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the Court concerned. Since the petitioners are unable to furnish such sureties, they filed Crl.M.P.No.1075 of 2021 seeking to reduce the surety amount and the same was allowed reducing the surety amount from Rs.45,000/- to Rs.25,000/- with two sureties for the like sum each to the satisfaction of the trial Court. It is stated that as the petitioners are daily wage earners, they are unable to furnish such surety amount and they are still languishing in jail from the last 6 months even though bail was granted to them and hence, prayed to reduce the surety amount.

Learned counsel for the petitioners/A4 and A7 Sri S. Harminder Singh, submits that though bail was granted to petitioners on 24.09.2021, they are unable to deposit the surety amount due to their poor financial capacity, and thus, he prays to reduce the surety amount as directed by the Court below.

Having considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and for the reasons stated in the petition, the surety amount granted by the Court below is reduced from Rs.25,000/- to Rs.10,000/- with two sureties for the like sum each. The other conditions imposed by the Court below shall remain unaltered.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. 6.

Miscellaneous applications, if any pending in this criminal petition, shall stand closed.
