IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT HYDERABAD

FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA & THE STATE OF ANDHRA PRADESH (Special Original Jurisdiction) FRIDAY, THE SIXTH DAY OF FEBRUARY, TWO THOUSAND AND FIFTEEN PRESENT THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No.2429 of 2015 BETWEEN Mohammed Hameed ... PETITIONER AND The Telangana Central Power Distribution Company Limited, rep. by its Managing Director and others.

...RESPONDENTS The Court made the following:

ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.O.Manohar Reddy, learned sanding counsel appearing for the respondents.

2. Petitioner states that he has purchased premises bearing H.No.10-112/9 SRT 98, Hyderabad under registered sale deed bearing document No.1860/2014 dated 28.04.2014. While he states that he is in possession and enjoyment of the said house, he has made a requisite application dated 30.12.2014 to the respondents duly enclosing the copy of the sale deed requesting to change the service connection in his name by deleting the names of the vendors. Alleging that no action is taken on the said application by respondent No.2,

the present writ petition is filed.

3. Since the request of the petitioner is only to incorporate his name as the consumer for the electricity supplied to the said house, the application of the petitioner deserves consideration by respondent No.2.

4. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to examine the petitioner's request as per his application, Ex.P1, dated 30.12.2014, in the light of sale deed and encumbrance certificate enclosed by the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
