THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM CONTEMPT CASE No.1547 OF 2016 ORDER:

The Contempt Case is filed for disobedience of the order dated 30.10.2007, passed by this Court in W.P.No.27021 of 2006, wherein the petitioners were held to be entitled to the benefit of pay scale of Rs.4,000/- to Rs.6,000/- on par with the other employees with effect from the date of their entitlement. However, the extension of monetary benefits would only be with effect from the date of the judgment dated 06.09.2005, but not from 01.01.2005.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Smt P. Sarada, learned standing counsel for B.S.N.L had produced the proceedings dated 15.10.2016 wherein it is stated that the steps have been taken for working out the amounts which are to be paid to the petitioners and thereafter on 28.10.2016 the amounts have been credited to the respective bank accounts. A copy of the same has been furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioners. The proceedings dated 15.10.2016 and 28.10.2016 are taken on record and as the order dated 30.10.2007, passed by this Court in W.P.No.27021 of 2006, stands complied with, the Contempt Case is required to be closed.

Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed.
