HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.2089 OF 2007 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the award passed by the 1st respondent-Labour Court in I.D.No.275/2000, dated 4.4.2002 to the extent of denying the continuity of service, attendant benefits and back wages of the petitioner.

When this matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner attained the age of superannuation and he rendered 20 years of service prior to his removal.

In view of the above submission, this Court is of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to pay the terminal benefits for the service rendered by the petitioner, if not already paid. 4.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to pay the terminal benefits for the service rendered by the petitioner, if not already paid, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, pending, if any, shall stand closed.
