THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN Arbitration Application No.14 of 2017 ORDER:

Sri S. Venkata Ramanaiah, the sole arbitrator appointed by this Court by its order dated 02.06.2017, has returned the bundle, evidently, because he was appointed as a Fast Track Court Judge, and he is discharging duties as such.

Both Sri K.Srinivas, Learned Counsel for the applicant and Sri Ch.Ravinder, Learned Counsel for the respondents, request that another arbitrator be appointed in his place to resolve the disputes between the parties.

I consider it appropriate to appoint Sri T. Baktavatsalam, retired District Judge, House No.7, Saketh Mithila, Kapra, Near Radhika Theatre, A.S. Rao Nagar, Secunderabad, as the sole arbitrator. The Learned Arbitrator shall fix his remuneration, and incidental charges for the arbitration proceedings, in consultation with the parties. He shall complete arbitration proceedings, and pass an award at the earliest, preferably within a period of six months from the date of commencement of arbitral proceedings. He is also requested to hold sittings, as far as possible, in the mediation centre of the High Court. The Arbitration Application is, accordingly, disposed of. The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
