ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue an order, direction or writ more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not paying salaries to the petitioner from October, 2016 to March 2017 for the services rendered as Technical Assistant despite several representations made by the petitioner as illegal, arbitrary, unjustified and violative of Articles 14, 16, 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to pay the pending salary amounts to the petitioner from October 2016 to March 2017 along with interest at the rate of 24% per annum and pass such other order or orders as may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Heard Sri K.Kishore Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

The petitioner was appointed as Technical Assistant in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), on temporary basis, at Amrabad, Nagarkurnool District, on 07.09.2016. Though he worked to the best satisfaction of his superiors, the respondents have illegally terminated him from service vide proceedings dated 01.04.2017.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner made several representations to the

respondents on 01.04.2017, 04.05.2018, 27.12.2018 and 24.01.2019, seeking payment of wages for the period from October, 2016 to March, 2017, no action has been taken thereon and that appropriate orders be passed directing the respondents to pay wages for the said period along with interest @ 25% per annum.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents would consider the representations of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders. Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the view that ends of justice would be met if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 24.1.2019 and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
