This writ petition is filed questioning the inaction of respondent authorities in registering a case based on the complaint made by the petitioner on 29.01.2019 and to declare the same as illegal and arbitrary. 2.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for respondents 1 to 5. 3.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions dated 25.02.2020, a copy of which is placed on record, submits that the complaint dated 29.01.2019 given by the petitioner was misplaced, as such, the respondent authorities have taken complaint again from the petitioner on 25.02.2020 whereupon a case was registered in Cr.No.42 of 2020 under Sections 323, 448 and 506 r/w 34 I.P.C by the Shahinayathgunj Police Station on 25.02.2020 and the same is under investigation. 4.
Having regard to the fact the respondent police authorities have registered a case based on the complaint made by the petitioner on 25.02.2020 and the same is under investigation, no further orders need be passed in the writ petition, except directing the respondent police authorities to investigate into the complaint to its logical conclusion at the earliest. 5.
Subject to the above, the writ petition is disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
