THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE No.836 of 2016 ORDER:

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 30.10.2015 passed by this Court in W.P.No.6230 of 2005. By the said order, this Court directed the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (hereinafter, 'the TSRTC') to consider the case of the writ petitioner for compassionate appointment in terms of the existing policy within a time frame.

It is now represented by Sri A.Ravi Babu, learned counsel for the respondent officials of the TSRTC, that the writ petitioner has been appointed as a Driver Grade-II under Bread Winner Scheme in Karimnagar Region, vide proceedings dated 16.02.2018 of the Selection Committee, TSRTC.

In the light of the aforestated development, no cause is made out for exercise of contempt jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the delay on the part of the TSRTC in complying with the order, this Court is inclined to take a lenient view.
