This Interlocutory Application is filed by the petitioner/Accused No.4 seeking the Court to reduce the surety amount imposed by this Court in Crl.P.No.1270 of vide order dated 06.02.2024 while granting bail to her, in connection with the Crime No.1229 of 2023 of P.S.Rajendranagar, Cyberabad, registered for the offence under Section 21(b) read with Section 8(c) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the respondent-State.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was a private employee and she was not in a position to fulfill the condition of furnishing surety for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for a like sum each. The sister of the petitioner also expressed her inability to furnish such huge sureties, as such, the petitioner could not be released on bail even after granting bail on 06.02.2024 and prayed to relax the above condition.

-2- Dr.GRR, J I.A.No.1 of 2024 in Crl.P.No.1270 of 2024 Considering the reasons stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner, as the petitioner was unable to secure the sureties due to her poor financial status, it is considered fit to reduce the surety amount from Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for a like sum each, as ordered by this Court, to Rs.50,000/- with two sureties for a like sum each. The other conditions imposed by this Court shall remain unaltered.
With this modification, I.A. is ordered.
