HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO WRIT PETITION No.13753 OF 2010 ORDER:

The petitioners seek writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents in deducting the crop insurance premium from the crop loans of the petitioners at the rate of 1% to 12.5% towards crop insurance premium for the Kharif and Rabi seasons for the years 2010-2011 as illegal and arbitrary and declare the same as optional but not compulsory.

Today, the matter is listed under the caption 'for dismissal' and in spite of the same, there is no representation for the petitioners. It appears the petitioners are not interested to prosecute the matter. Added to it, since the relief sought for is in respect of the crop period of 2010-2011, which was over long back, the writ petition became infructuous.
