Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion. Now, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents informed that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner was subjected to disciplinary proceedings and he was removed from service and hence, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Recording the said submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
