2017-04-25Challa Kodanda Ram2 pages

HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION Nos. 14612 and 14613 of 2017 COMMON ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise (Andhra and Rayalaseema Areas).

The grievance of the petitioners is that they became successful bidders, pursuant to the notification dated 24.03.2017, and were, in fact, granted licence to run A4 shops.

However, the existing licence holders had approached this Court and, this Court, permitted to run A4 shops granted in their favour until expiry of the licence period. In the circumstances, petitioners seek allocation of alternative areas and made representation dated 12.04.2017. The writ petitioners, therefore, seek a direction to the respondent - authorities to consider the representation dated 12.04.2017.

Learned Government Pleader for Excise submits that the representation made by the petitioners would be considered in accordance with law.

In the circumstances, the Writ Petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respondent - authorities to consider and dispose of the representation dated 12.04.2017, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from today.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
