This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not allotting the alternate land to an extent of 2820 sq. yards in Sy.No.1 of Madhapur village, Serilingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, to the petitioner in exchange of the land acquired for road widening purpose in the year 1998, as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently, to direct the 1st respondent to allot the alternate land to the extent of 2820 sq. yards in Sy.No.1 of Madhapur village, Serilingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District as proposed, and also to revise the award of compensation passed by the 4th respondent vide letter dated 20.11.1998, by determining the exact extent of land acquired in the year 1998, and to pay the compensation for such balance extent of land, if any, as per the prevalent market value after deducting the proposed allotment of extent of 2820 sq. yards. 2.

Heard Sri A. Tulsi Raj Gokul, learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition. 3.

It has been submitted by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a research organization and it owned Ac.5.00 gts of land in Sy.No.2 of Madhapur village, Serilingampally Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, and that during the year 1998, the land of the petitioner to an extent of 2820 sq. yards was acquired for road widening and that the petitioner pleaded before the respondents to allot alternate land to an extent of 2820 sq. yards in Sy.No.1 of Madhapur village for its research purpose, and the said request of the petitioner was examined and the 3rd respondent vide letter dated 21.9.2004 has recommended the case of the

petitioner to the 1st respondent for allotting 2820 sq. yards of land in Sy.No.1 of Madhapur village in favour of the petitioner in lieu of the land acquired from the petitioner, and the 1st respondent had not acted upon the said recommendations, and in those circumstances, the petitioner submitted representation on 13.11.2007 to the 1st respondent, but the 1st respondent has not passed any orders so far.

Having considered the facts of the case and the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the view that ends of justice would be met if a direction was given to the 1st respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 13.11.2007. 5.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.11.2007 based upon the recommendations made by the 3rd respondent vide letter dated 21.9.2004, and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
