HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN WRIT PETITION NO.2731 OF 2010 ORDER:

The relief sought for in the Writ Petition is to declare the inaction of the first respondent in not issuing the death certificate of his father who died on 15.09.1975 as arbitrary and illegal. By way of interim relief the petitioner sought a direction to the respondent to consider his representation dated 24.02.2009 pending disposal of the Writ Petition. Interim direction as prayed for was granted by order in WPMP No.3612 of 2010 dated 22.02.2010. In his representation dated 24.02.2009, the petitioner requested the authorities concerned to issue a death certificate with respect to his father who he claimed had expired on 15.09.1975. As this representation was directed to be considered, no further orders are necessary in this Writ Petition. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, closed. The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
