When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that during the pendency of the Writ Petition, petitioners were considered for selection to the post of Junior Linemen, but however they were not selected. In the Writ Petition, the prayer sought for was only consideration of the petitioners for appointment as contract Junior Linemen and they were already considered. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners may be given liberty to prosecute their grievance if they are aggrieved against non-consideration of their qualification as suitable for appointment as Junior Linemen. 2.

Since the petitioners were already considered, the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive for adjudication and the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed.

The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed leaving it open to the petitioners to avail appropriate remedies, if they are aggrieved by non-consideration of their suitability or qualification as eligibility for recruitment to the post of Junior Linemen. 4.

As a consequence of bifurcation of the State of Andhra Pradesh and formation of the State of Telangana, the Power Distribution Company is also separated and in place of Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited, Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited is established including Kurnool and Anantapur Districts.

Hence, the office is directed to reflect the name of Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited in place of Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited as respondents.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
