HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed contending that even though 50% of the amount as quantified in letter dated 13.11.2018 on the allegation of theft of electricity, the respondents are demanding the petitioner to pay the balance amount and threatening to disconnect the power supply.

If petitioner has already paid 50% of the amount as quantified in the letter dated 13.11.2018, the authorities shall not demand the balance amount to be paid until proceedings under Section 154(6) of the Electricity Act, 2003 are concluded, subject to fulfillment of all other required parameters and payment of electricity charges. It is always open to respondents to take further action if the petitioner violates the terms of granting power supply. Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand dismissed.
