I.A.No.1 of 2022 A letter was addressed by the Special Judge for Trial of POCSO Act Cases-cum-IX Additional District and Sessions Judge, L.B.Nagar, Ranga Reddy District seeking extension of time for disposal of S.C.No.5 of 2021 on the file of the said Court.

It is submitted that as the Special Judge for Trial of POCSO Act Cases-cum- IX Additional District and Sessions Judge, L.B.Nagar, Ranga Reddy District is holding full additional Charge of three other Courts, and also there was suspension of work from 17.01.2022 to 13.02.2022 due to COVID-19 pandemic, the trial could not be continued. It is further stated that nine advocates are appearing for the accused persons and 78 witnesses are cited in the charge sheet, the Special Judge for Trial of POCSO Act Cases requested some more time for disposal S.C.No.5 of 2021.

Having regard to the above, this application is allowed granting three months time from today for completion of trial in S.C.No.5 of 2021 by the Special Judge for Trial of POCSO Act Cases-cum-IX Additional District and Sessions Judge, L.B.Nagar, Ranga Reddy District.
