Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned G.P.for Home. The petitioner-club seeks a comprehensive direction to the police that they should not interfere with the lawful activities of the members of their club and also sought for special restrictions regarding inspections of the club and for making out panchanama of such inspection. The prayer of the petitioner shows as if a special privilege is sought for the petitioner for themselves and no such blanket order can be granted to the petitioner. As an association, petitioners are entitled to carry out lawful activities.

The averments of the petition as well as the counter affidavit specifically show that though there is no case registered against the petitioner, the respondent police have directed the President of the petitioner's association to install CC cameras in all the rooms. However, it is stated that the petitioner association has fixed the cameras only in certain areas to cover portion of the association and not the entire premises. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that since no written instructions for installation of CC cameras were given, and as per oral instructions they have already fixed CC cameras. Apparently, if any activity is carried out in the petitioner's association premises, which does not offend AP Gaming Act, there is no cause for registration of a crime by the police.

However, that needs to be verified and further direction to fix CC cameras in entire premises appears to have been given by the police. Since written instructions are not given by the police, it is open for the respondent No.

premises so as to enable the police to keep a watch on the premises and activity, to ensure compliances under laws. The learned G.P. also states that he will instruct the respondent authorities to issue appropriate written instructions to the petitioner accordingly. Since at present there is neither a crime registered nor any other action taken against the petitioner, no further orders need be passed in this writ petition.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. _______________________ VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR, J Date:13.04.2015 Rns.
