The grievance of the petitioner is that the police authorities have not filed a final report in Crime No.207 of 2010 on the file of the Station House Officer, III Town

Law and Order Police Station, Rajahmundry.

The police authorities are bound to carry out necessary investigation in the crime and file a final report in terms of Section 173 Cr.P.C. before the competent criminal Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the police authorities have already completed the investigation and intimation was given to the petitioner upon his application filed under the Right to Information Act, 2005, to that effect. In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of directing the police authorities concerned to file a final report before the competent criminal Court under Section 173 Cr.P.C. in relation to Crime No.207 of 2010 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
