Heard the leaned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2.

The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under: 'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the cases of the petitioners for allotment of LIGH Quarters on Hire Purchase System under the scheme as per G.O.Ms.No.56, dated 28.10.1989 as void, illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional, contrary to Article 14 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondent No.1 to allot the LIGH Quarter bearing Nos.12-4-146 to 150, situated at Murshadgadda, Siddipet, Siddipet District, by taking into consideration of the proposals made by the 2nd respondent vide Lr.No.A1/177/2017 dated 09.11.2018 on Hire Purchase System under the scheme as per G.O.Ms.No.56 dated 28.10.1989 and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.'

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners submitted representation dated 17.01.2017 to the first respondent requesting to allot LIGH quarters on Hire Purchase basis in compliance with the orders passed in G.O.Ms.No.56, Housing, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, dated 28.10.1989. He also brought to the notice of this Court that pursuant to the representation submitted by the petitioners, the first respondent addressed letter to the second respondent municipality to examine and

furnish a detailed report along with specific remarks in the matter for taking further necessary action in allotment of LIGH quarters on Hire Purchase basis to the petitioners. Pursuant to the said letter, the second respondent municipality issued letter No.A1/177/2017 dated 09.11.2018 recommending the case of the petitioners for alienation of the quarters on Hire Purchase basis to the occupiers, legal heirs of the original allottees. In spite of the same, no further action is taken up till date. 4.

Therefore, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 17.01.2017 submitted by the petitioners and pass appropriate orders in compliance with the procedure contained in G.O.Ms.No.56, dated 28.10.1989, subject to the petitioners furnishing the documents as sought for by the respondents within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
