This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondent in not considering the claims of the petitioners for grant of pension under 'Swatantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme, 1980' despite compliance of requisite conditions and re-verification reports of Government of A.P. This Court on 10.12.2010, while admitting the writ petition granted interim directions to the respondent to consider the claims of the petitioners for grant of pension under 'Swatantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme, 1980', in view of the letters dated 08.07.2005, 03.03.2005, 27.05.2005, 22.02.2005, 19.05.2005, 24.05.2005 and 28.09.2005, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law.

Learned Counsel for petitioners submits that by virtue of the interim order, the case of the petitioners 1 and 3 was considered and they were granted pension under 'Swatantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme, 1980'; and that the cases of remaining petitioners could not be considered by the State Government on the ground that they have not received verification reports from the State Government.

Learned Standing Counsel for the respondent also does not dispute the same.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to obtain verification report from the State Government as expeditiously as possible, and after receiving the verification report from the State Government, the 1st respondent shall consider the cases of remaining petitioners, in accordance with the scheme. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
