HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V. BHATT C.C.No.425 OF 2016 ORDER:

Heard counsel for petitioner and the Government Pleader for Irrigation & Command Area Development (TG). The petitioner complains disobedience of order dated 23.09.2014 in W.P. No.9910 of 2010. The operative portion of the order reads thus:

"From the dates and events, it is clear that the bill was submitted in the month of July, 2004 and the same remains unattended till date. The petitioner is not disputing the procedure to be followed, in a given case where the audit objection is pending before the Public Accounts Committee. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to take all expeditious steps within the four corners of law in placing before the Public Accounts Committee for consideration and getting appropriate orders for payment of eligible amount to the petitioner.

With a view to have time schedule for completing the above exercise, it is directed that the respondents undertake the exercise and obtained orders within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs."

The Government Pleader places on record G.O.Rt.No.1076 dated 22.12.2016 and reports compliance of the order of this Court. The counsel for petitioner submits that the Contempt Case can be closed by placing on record the compliance reported by the respondents.

The Contempt Case is accordingly closed. No order as to costs.
