Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners; learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents 1, 2, 4 and 5; Smt N.Amula, learned Standing Counsel for SC Corporation appearing for respondent No.3; and Sri N.Praveen Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for Grampanchayat appearing for respondent No.6. With their consent, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed with the following prayer:
"to issue a Writ, Order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not granting assignment pattas for an extent of 3 acres of Agriculture Lands to the petitioners at Koppunur Village, Chinnambavi Mandal, Wanaparthy District and to declare the same as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Article 14 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to grant assignment pattas for an extent of 3 acres of Agriculture Lands to the petitioner as per the eligibility in Koppunur village, Chinnambavi Mandal, Wanaparthy District."

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 31.10.2016 made by the petitioners to the District Collector, Wanaparthy (R.2) for assignment of lands, in accordance with law.

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue submits that he has no objection for the same provided the same is still pending consideration.

Having regard to the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Collector, Wanaparthy (R.2) to consider the representation dated 31.10.2016 made by the petitioners for assignment of lands, in accordance with law, subject to their eligibility, at the earliest.
