This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed seeking the following relief: 'to issue a writ, order or direction more gly'ticularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction on the part of respondent No.4 as violative of Section 154 (1) of Cr.P.C. and Lalitha Kumari v. State of Utta-r Pradesh and consequently direct respondent No.4 to act on petitioner's information, dated 31.O1.2024, served on O 1.O2.2024..."

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents and perused the record.

The case of the petitioner is that she sent a written complaint, dated 31.01 .2024 through.'Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due' and the sarne was received by respondent No.4 on O1.O2.2O24. It is further case of the petitioner that though the contents of the complaint reveal commlssl0n of cognizable offences, respondent No.4 is not acting on the said complaint nor initiating any action as per the procedure contemplated under Section 154 of Cr.P.C, and
.1 also the guidelines issued by the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lalitha Kumari v. State of Uttar Pradeshl.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, would submit that acting on the complaint, dated 31.O1.2024, respondent No.4 registered a case in Crime No.1 of 2024, dated 06.02.2024, for the offences under Section 494, 316 and 498-4' IPC ald took up investigation.
5. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner i submitted that the offences alleged against the accused persons are serious in nature and therefore, a direction may be issued to the respondent-police to conclude investigation, as expeditiously as possible.

In view of the said submissions, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition by directing respondent No.4 to complete investigation in Crime No' l of 2024 and file appropriate charge sheet/final report before the Court concerned, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
