THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.24020 OF 2017 ORDER:

In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos.2 to 5 in not concluding the selection process to the post of Anganvadi Worker, Nakkalapet Anganvadi Centre, Kothakota Gram Panchayat, Sarubujjili Mandal, Srikakulam Distirct, pursuant to the Notification, dated 08.09.2015, issued by the 5th respondent, as illegal and arbitrary. The case of the petitioner is that she applied to the post of Anganvadi Worker at Nakkalapet Anganvadi Centre, Kothakota Gram Panchaayt, Sarubujjili Mandal, Srikakulam District, pursuant to the Notification issued dated 08.09.2015 issued by the 5th respondent. Though she has participated in the interview respondents 2 to 5 so far have not concluded the recruitment process. Hence, she filed the present writ petition.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader has produced written instructions dated 01.08.2017, wherein it is stated as follows:- " ....the District Collector & the Chairman for Selection Committee for selection of AWWs/ AWHs and Mini AWWs has cancelled all previous notifications on 06.03.2017 vide File No.2225/ A4/ 2016, as the process of the selection was not finalized by the committee even after completion of more than 1 year from issue of notifications for filling up the above said posts and approval was also accorded for issue of fresh notification after assessing the vacancies of AWWs/ AWHs & Mini AWWs in the District."

In view of the same, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. However, the respondents are directed to serve a copy of the cancellation proceedings, dated 06.03.2017 to the petitioner. However, it is open for the petitioner to challenge the same in accordance with law, if she is so advised.

With the above observation, the writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed.
