THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION Nos.3427 and 3673 of 2021 COMMON ORDER:

Since the issue raised in these two writ petitions is one and the same, both the writ petitions are being disposed of by this common order at the stage of admission with the consent of both the parties. Heard Sri P.Venkateshwar Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Sri N.Vasudeva Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

It has been contended by the petitioners that they are working as Conductors with the respondents and during lockdown period for the months of March, 2020 and May, 2020, the respondents have not paid salary to them. The State Government has issued G.O.Ms.No.45, dated 22.03.2020, wherein certain guidelines were issued for payment of salary during lockdown period. But, the respondents are not considering their cases for payment of salary strictly in terms of G.O.Ms.No.45, dated 22.03.2020.

Therefore, learned counsel for the petitioners had contended that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petitions directing the respondents to consider the case of petitioners for payment of salary for the months of March, 2020 and May, 2020 strictly in terms of G.O.Ms.No.45, dated 22.03.2020.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents had contended that the petitioners have not submitted any representation to the respondents. If the petitioners submit representation to the respondents, the respondents would consider

the same and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, is of the considered view that these writ petitions can be disposed of directing the petitioners to submit a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereupon, the respondents shall consider the case of the petitioners for payment of salary for the months of March, 2020 and May, 2020 strictly in terms of G.O.Ms.No.45, dated 22.03.2020 and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks thereafter. With the above directions, the writ petitions are disposed of. No order as to costs.
