THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION Nos.3190 & 3191 of 2019 COMMON ORDER :

In both the writ petitions, the petitioners have submitted applications on 18.08.2017 to register their Unions under Trade Union Act, 1926 (for short 'the Act'). Alleging the inaction in registering their Unions, these writ petitions are filed. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader for Labour appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submits that the applications of the petitioners for registration is pending consideration before the Deputy Commissioner. Since the applications submitted by the petitioners was way back on 18.08.2017, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the said applications under the provisions of the Act and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioners.

The Writ Petitions are disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in these writ petitions shall stand closed.
