THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI CONTEMPT CASE No. 219 of 2018 ORDER:

This Contempt Case is filed by the petitioner requesting to punish the respondent herein for alleged disobedience of the orders of this Court, dated 28.11.2017, passed in W.P.No.40017 of 2017. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and of the learned Government Pleader for Forests appearing for the respondent.

By the aforestated orders, dated 28.11.2017, this Court disposed of the writ petition directing the second respondent to dispose of the appeal of the writ petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, and preferably, within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the writ order.

However, at the hearing, learned Government Pleader for Forests brings to the notice of this Court that the second respondent in the writ petition i.e., the appellate authority disposed of the appeal of the petitioner by orders, dated 24.01.2018, and therefore, the orders of this Court are complied with. A copy of the said order is produced before this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the fact that the afore-stated order of this Court has since been complied with. In that view of the matter, this Court is of the considered view that no cause survives for adjudication in this Contempt Case. The contempt Case is accordingly closed.
