The petitioner seeks to challenge the action of the State in alienating certain Government land to the fifth respondent. Perusal of the affidavit reflects that the petitioner has no personal interest or grievance in the matter.

Sri T. Ramakoteswararao, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the petitioner is the Mandal Praja Parishad President of Vetapalem and is therefore interested in protecting the Government land. The petitioner thus claims to be acting in public interest. The writ petition is however not filed in the garb of a public interest litigation and is defective on that ground.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to file a proper case with suitable pleadings. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs. ______________________ SANJAY KUMAR, J 08th JULY, 2015 Svv
