HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO JUDGMENT: (Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Dilip B.Bhosale) Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Sri Vedula Venkata Ramana, learned senior counsel for the appellants does not press this writ appeal and seeks direction to learned single Judge to consider and decide the writ petition expeditiously. It is not possible to issue such direction and hence, the request is rejected. This, however, shall not preclude the petitioners from applying for expeditious hearing of the writ petition.

2. Writ Appeal is disposed of as not pressed. It is made clear that Additional Director General of Police, CBCID (3rd respondent), may proceed to inquire/investigate into the allegations of irregularities in Ph.D., admissions in Dravidian University - 2nd respondent, and as observed by the learned single Judge, in the process of investigation, the investigating officers shall not cause undue harassment to the individuals registered for M.Phils/Ph.Ds with the 2nd respondent university.
